Mogadishu: At least 4 passengers are reported to have been killed and several others seriously injured after the rebel group of Al-Shabab opened fire to those people who was on board and passing in between Mogadishu and Afgoye corridor south the capital Mogadishu this afternoon, reports said.
Eyewitness and separate news sources confirmed that the dead and injured passengers whose bus attacked by the rebel group of Al-shabab at around Shabelle University in between Mogadishu and Afgoye.
Al-Shabab fighters take an ambush attack against forces of the Somali government and the African union peacekeeping sometimes in this main road despite daily security operation made by T.F.G and AU troops who recently captured there from Shabab movement.
Al-Shabab also took an ambush attack early last month to a convoy with Somali president, Sharif Sh. Ahmed that killed 7 soldiers including high level officers of the national army.
Al-Shabab did not comment this event yet that was said to be only on civilians on the passenger bus as sources said.
