The ACE Group has announced the appointment of Juan Alberto Vélez Arredondo to the position of ACE Life’s regional president in Latin America.
Vélez assumes responsibility for ACE’s life insurance operations in nine countries.
He is to be based in Mexico City and will be directly responsible to ACE Life President Russell Bundschuh.
Vélez brings more than three decades of experience to his new position, and was most recently chief executive officer of Seguros Multiva, Grupo Financiero Multiva in Mexico City, and earlier in his career he was CEO and executive VP of HSBC Seguros in Panama.
Bundschuh welcomed the appointment of Vélez, stating that the firm was delighted to be joined by such a talented executive, and went on to praise Vélez’s record and leadership skills.
