The Rev. Michel Louis, shown in this updated photo from the Free Pentecostal Church of God in Boston, was abducted with two others in Egypt while touring with a church group.

The Rev. Jean Louis said Sunday he does not know if or when his father, the Rev. Michel Louis, may be released. He is concerned about his safety and health.

Louis spoke to reporters after a church service in Boston's Dorchester neighborhood to pray for the 61-year-old pastor. He says his father was on a church trip with 23 other members of the clergy and worshipers when he was abducted on Friday.

An Egyptian Bedouin says he ordered Louis and two others off a bus and took them captive. He is demanding that police release his uncle from prison.
