International specialist insurer Hiscox Ltd has announced a number of senior appointments, including that of Bob Thaker to the post of head of UK Claims.
In addition, Joanne Musselle becomes chief underwriting officer for Hiscox UK and Ireland, and Penny Shaw has been named chief risk officer.
Thaker will assume his new position with the firm at the end of July, succeeding Joanne Musselle, who has been promoted.
Thaker has worked for Hiscox for the last two years and was previously chief risk officer.
Musselle is a veteran of Hiscox, and joined the firm a decade ago as a technical underwriting manager.
Shaw leaves behind ACE to join Hiscox, where she replaces Thaker as chief risk officer (her appointment takes effect in early August).
Chief Executive Officer Bronek Masojada praised the dedication of Thaker, the experience of Shaw and the experience and technical underwriting skills of Musselle.
