The Pakistani Doctor arrested and jailed for cooperating US in the search of the slain Al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden has rejected all the allegations against him and said that he was innocent and had done nothing against the interest of the Pakistani state.

The statement came out when government of Khyber Pakhtoon Khwa relaxed ban over meeting with Dr.Shakeel Afridi the other day where he met his lawyers and children in the central jail Peshawar.

His brother Jalil Afridi, However, rejected and said he was not allowed to meet his children.

“ Dr.Shakeel Even doesn’t know where his children are and in what conditions” said Jalil afridi adding that they were going to file an appeal against the the inhuman punishment of Dr.Shakeel Afridi who was punished for 33 years imprisonment by the political administration of Khyber Agency under the prevailing law of FCR in FATA.

While meeting with his lawyers Dr.Shakeel rejected all the allegations of spying for CIA and said that he became prey to a conspiracy.

He was charged for spying and cooperating CIA in searching Al Qaeda chief Osama Bin Laden who was killed on May 2 2011, in Abbotabad , a city in the north west of Pakistan.

“I had conducted a campaign against Hepatitis not polio, but on the orders of the high ups in selected areas of Abbot Abad” said Dr.Afridi to his lawyers.

Dr.Shakeel Afridi was charged by the court that he had conducted a fake polio campaign but he rejected all the allegations.

It was for the first time that he met his lawyers in the chamber of Deputy Supdt. Jail and issued any kind of statement.

Sources from inside the central jail Peshawar told that he looked weak, yet his health was getting better.

Sources also confirmed that Dr.Afridi would soon file an appeal in the court of commissioner against the decision of the Khyber political administration through his lawyer Samiullah Afiridi.

His brother Jalil Afridi also rejected the allegation that Dr.Afridi had contacts with a militant group Lashker Isalm( the army of Islam) headed by Mangal Bagh in the tribal area of Khyber Agency.

analysts say that the arrest and imprisonment of Dr Afridi was one of the major causes in the tiebetween Pak US relations.

A spokesman of the US state department said in June,2012 that US was waiting for Pakistan, stance over the case of Dr.Afridi but Pakistani Authorities were of the opinion that Dr.Afridi was punished for his relations with the extremist militants group of LASHKAR E ISLAM and not for spying for CIA.
