Willis opens new Harbin office

Willis China has announced that it has been given the green light by the Chinese Insurance Regulatory Commission (CIRC) to open a new office in Harbin.

The new office will be the 22nd of Willis’ in the superpower, and will be the first foreign broker office in Harbin.

It is to be the second Chinese office opened by Willis in 2012, following the Chongqing office which was opened earlier this year.

Harbin is the largest city in and capital of Heilongjiang Province, and has a population exceeding 10 million people.

Willis China Chief Executive Officer Mitchell Ma said that the firm was very proud to announce its new office in Heilongjiang Province.

The new office also follows the announcement in July of a new Superyacht insurance broking office situated in Barcelona’s prestigious MB92 shipyard.
