Amlin has announced a number of changes to its senior management, including the appointment of Simon Beale to the newly created position of group chief underwriting officer.
Beale is tasked with furthering the development of the firm’s Group Underwriting function as well as chairing the Underwriting Practice Boards which will cover Reinsurance, International Property and Casualty, Marine Aviation and Transport, and Domestic Commercial Lines.
Group Chief Risk Officer James Illingworth is to lead Corporate Centre Risk and will focus upon the implementation and validation of Amlin’s internal model (as required under Solvency II regulation).
Amlin has also announced that Head of Group Underwriting Andreas Luberichs, who joined the firm last year, is appointed to the European insurance business, Amlin Corporate Insurance.
Luberichs assumes the newly created role of executive vice president (Non-Marine) and joins the ACI Management Team.
Finally, Bert Nelen joined the firm on 1 July as the new executive president, Marine.
