A number of insurance agencies and organizations are taking part in a drive to collect business clothes for four area organizations during the month of September.
The Insurance & Financial Professionals Clothing Drive, sponsored by the Baltimore chapters of the National Association of Health Underwriters (BAHU) and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA-Baltimore), is collecting new and gently used business attire for men and women to donate to Suited to Succeed, Attire to Hire, House of Ruth and Maryland New Directions.
More than 40 insurance agencies, carriers and companies are participating.
For men, the group is collecting suits, dress slacks, jackets, shirts, ties, overcoats, belts and shoes. For women, donations being accepted include suits, dress pants, jackets, skirts, blouses, tops and sweaters. Donations of money also are being accepted.
Donations are being taken at the Sept. 20 NAIFA-Baltimore meeting, as well as at the Sept. 24 NAIFA/BAHU charity golf tournament at Country Club of Maryland in Towson, Md.
