[edit] History

For years a mouth guard also known as a splint has been the only solution for people suffering from bruxism, migraine or teeth grinding. But research over the last decade (2002-2012) has shown that electronical impulses can be a breakthrough possibility. PhD Studies at the Dept. of Clinical Oral Physiology at University of Aarhus, Denmark, invented in joint venture a medical device to fight grinding.

[edit] Clinical trials shows an effect on bruxism and teeth grinding

By registering the muscle activity on the muscles connecting to the jaw the treatment is to send a light electrical impulse to interrupt the teeth grinding. Like with botox the muscle leans to relax and the patient can wear the electrodes during night time. Several reports and clinical trials shows the positive effect.[1]
